Release Date 3-1-2025 // The next couple of songs will be songs I pull from my past and reimagine. The first is this one: Mixtape. There's something pretty satisfying about revisiting old material and recording it again from a different perspective. For my new friends, the original version of this was with a band called Transmission Fields. I hope it hits a note with you.

Release Date 4-23-2024 // This was a very fun one to work on. And, I learned a bit of music trivia while doing it! I flipped some pronouns so that it's a guy singing about a girl. But, then I learned that's actually how the original lyrics went. The song was originally recorded by Robert Hazard in 1979 and then Cyndi popularized it with her amazing rendition in 1983. You learn something new every day. :)

Release Date 11-7-2023. // This is probably the most personal song I've ever written. I've written songs about people I know/knew, relationships, frustration, and joy. But, this one is all about how I feel as I start to notice there are likely fewer days ahead than behind. Every year seems to go by a little bit faster and, these days, it feels even more important to not let time slip by without keeping up the pursuit of joy.

I went to the beach over the summer and bought a ukulele. This doesn't sound very noteworthy. Except, I had never played a ukulele before. So, I downloaded an app to find out what the chords were...went to go sit down by the ocean...and wrote this song. There are probably better, more technically amazing ukulele song out there. But, this is my ukulele song and I quite like it. :)
