About

I’m pretty laid-back and self-deprecating, but when it comes to songwriting, I can be quietly meticulous. I write indie-folk-tinged rock that leans into nostalgia, connection, and the kind of melodies that stick with you. My music is rooted in organic instrumentation….acoustic guitars, strings, maybe a trumpet, and the occasional banjo…blending the warmth of folk, the hooks of indie pop, and the introspection of singer-songwriters like Richard Buckner and Ben Kweller.

I used to front a band called Transmission Fields, and back then, people described my songs as “eminently hummable/harmonizable” and reminiscent of a time when rock radio felt more adventurous. (Thanks Shuffle Magazine!) Now, on my own, I’m still chasing that feeling…just with a bit more of an organic, personal approach.

My latest single, Mixtape (out March 1), is actually a reimagining of an old Transmission Fields song. It captures a lot of what I love about songwriting…storytelling that’s both familiar and a little elusive, wrapped in a melody that feels like an old favorite you just discovered. There’s a mix of optimism, melancholy, and just enough obscure imagery to keep things interesting. It’s music for long drives, late nights, and anyone who still believes a great song can take you somewhere.

And while I’m no author, I also like to write. Every now and then, I’ll publish random musings on this site. Sometimes about music, sometimes about nostalgia, and sometimes just about the absurdity of it all.
